Проект HOPESHINE проходит в школе №14 в Ереване, в единственной школе Армении для детей с нарушением зрения, где используется система Брайля. Многие ученики живут в школе круглый год, возвращаясь домой только на каникулы.
Проект направлен на улучшение условий обучения и социализацию детей с нарушениями зрения, а также на создание комфортной среды для их развития.
Международные волонтерские смены проходят тут регулярно - уже 11 сезонов - и воспитанники уже с нетерпением ждут новых участников проекта.
Основные задачи волонтеров:
Ремонтные работы: покраска, благоустройство классов и территории школы.
Работа с детьми: организация интерактивных игр и мероприятий во второй половине дня.
Условия для волонтеров:
Проживание: в школьных общежитиях с предоставлением кроватей, матрасов и постельного белья.
Язык общения: английский.
Вид работ
Волонтер должен быть готов помочь с ремонтными работами, например, с покраской и благоустройством территории, а также поучаствовать или провести самому интерактивные мероприятия для детей. Основные задачи включают помощь в ремонте классов и игровую деятельность с учениками школы. У волонтеров будет куратор работ и тимлидер в группе, они подскажут, как и что можно организовать. Волонтеры не останутся одни.
Желательно, чтобы участники группы привезли с собой музыку, рецепты, игры из своих родных стран и регионов.
Язык общения в группе - английский. Обычно уровня А2-В1 бывает достаточно
Условия
Проживание организовано в школьных общежитиях с предоставлением кроватей и постельного белья.
Есть оргвзносы для участия в проекте: 10 000 рублей до отъезда (в России) и 100 евро после прибытия (в Армении).
Для подростков от 15 до 17 лет взнос на участие составит 200 евро (+10 тыс руб.)
Волонтерам предоставляется проживание и питание, а также разнообразная культурная программа, за которую не надо доплачивать. Дорожные расходы до места проведения проекта также несет сам волонтер.
Участники получат сертификаты и благодарственные письма по окончании лагеря.
Будет море практики английского языка с участниками из разных стран мира!

Ozuchi Village was established by local people to preserve the
original landscape. In 1916, there were 140 residents and 20 houses, but now only one person lives there. Fortunately, 10 houses remain and the village is designated as a national important traditional buildings preservation district. The village retains the landscape and lifestyle of old Japan that is no longer in existence. In order to preserve this place and culture, we are trying to improve the situation with the power of young volunteers. Since 2016, Ozuchi Village and NICE have started a monthly
weekend work camp, and more than 300 volunteers visit the village every year, fall in love with the village, and participate as repeat visitors or support the village in whatever way they can! The local hosts hope to pass this village on to the next generation!*Results of this work camp: The village was
abandoned, but one of the former villagers maintained the rice terraces and landscape. However, the work camp gave him such strength that he started living there again in 2018!
This project is actively working on SDG2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG4 (Quality Education), and has been working with Ozuchi Village since 2013.

We will do various work to activate the area and success their culture. Main work may be one of those: 1) Maintaining rice and vegetables’ fields for sustainable life or 2) Organizing the career education camp
for local high school students. And do some other work for the community.

Accommodation: Renovated house (traditional house!). Simple shower room. Clean toilet. Sleeping bag is needed! Meals will be cooked by volunteers. There is a cat in the house. Wi-Fi is available at the base facility. Mountain life!
Ozuchi Village is located in the southwest of Ishikawa. It is a beautiful place surrounded by mountains.
Because it is far from the city, it is rich in nature and you can feel the change of the seasons.
In your free time you can have exchange meetings with local people, trekking, hot springs, river activities, fireworks, etc. Also you will get the basic knowledge of the Japanese language and local culture.
The goal of the project is revival of the abandon villages. Bring some info aboutyour cultures and countries! Volunteers get knowledge about actions for developing local village.
It is an international camp - there will be a group of volunteers from all over the world (max 6 in the group). Age - from 16 years to 99 years old

The countless species of plants and animals, as well as different habitats, are unique on our planet; in Germany alone there are around 70,000 different animals, plants and microorganisms. This biodiversity forms the basis of all life, but nature is increasingly under threat. This camp is about the protection of meadow birds, some of which are threatened with extinction. You will work thematically, practically and creatively with experienced staff
from various biological stations to protect them.
First week volunteers will spend close to the Dutch border.
What to bring: • Rain jacket and rain trousers (mostly you have this for bike riding)
• Working clothes: that cover arms and legs (could get dirty and is robust)
• Working shoes: sturdy, closed and rainproof shoes (no sneakers, trainers, sandals, Flip-flops etc...)
• Rubber boots if possible!
• Warm clothes (even in summer the evenings in Germany can be quite cold)
• Waterproof clothing
• Slippers or socks, house shoes you need them for the accommodation!!
• Light, sporty clothing
This workcamp offers you the opportunity to get to know two different regions. In the first week, you will be right on the Dutch border. Here you live in a very rural area, the nearest town is 10 km away. However, you will be provided with bicycles, which will take you on a discovery tour of the Netherlands in the direction of Winterwiek on Wednesday of the first week. You get to know a typical Dutch community with a weekly market and Kramermarkt
and head to the Meddosee beach club. In the beautiful half-timbered town of Rheda-Wiedenbrück, you are accommodated in the center of Wiedenbrück with stores, cafes and bars. The outdoor pool is nearby, and you can barbecue, chill out, play table tennis or go on excursions to the university towns of Münster, Bielefeld or Paderborn.

You will work with experienced staff from various biological stations. We start right on the Dutch border. You will be there working and learning a lot about their work at the Biological Station and about the protection of meadow birds. You will help in a protected area and remove shrubs and birch so that the area is free for meadow birds again. You will cycle the 4 km to the reserve. Day 2 offers a circular walk and you get to know different birds and learn to identify them. Afterwards, the 2 days serve as a practical and creative day for a sustainable meadow bird conservation project. Then, you move on to the next project area. In the second project, your work is primarily practical. You will help to optimize the breeding sites of endangered meadow birds, which are mainly located near bodies of water. So you'll head off into shallow water and onto small gravel islands in your rubber boots to pull out willow seedlings and create gathering and resting places for animals.

In this camp you are in two different places! Also important for your arrival and departure.
The first week you will be accommodated in the brand new guest house of Biologische Zwillbrock e.V.. There are shared rooms, plenty of bathrooms and a self-catering kitchen with a dining area. There is also a terrace and the opportunity to barbecue. On Saturday, you will then move to the beautiful half-timbered town of Rheda-Wiedenbrück. There you will be accommodated in the guest house of the Wiedenbrück monastery. In shared rooms and with your own kitchen and sufficient sanitary facilities, you can also sit in the courtyard.
You are right in the center of Wiedenbrück.
It is absolutely necessary that you can ride a bike. In the first week you live in a very rural area and there is no other transport!

The owner of this farm is Mr. Sugiura, who was the only a man taking care of 2 hectares of farmland abandoned by local people until 2022. The local farmers became too old to keep working on the farm. Mr. Sugiura cultivates, harvests crops, even makes fertilizer and processes the harvest into products. He is working not only for crops, but also for conserving the environment and the beautiful scenery of living fields in the countryside of Japan.
This project is actively working for SDG2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGS15 (Life on Land). This project is co-organized with "Sugiura Farm" that engages in organic farming for pursuing food safety and an environmental-friendly society.

Supporting in crop production through pesticide-free and environmentally friendly agriculture. Volunteers will also cut grass on abandoned fields and restore farmland. Participants may also perform other farm work such as spreading compost on fields and harvesting!
Volunteers will acquire the knowledge of organic farming.
In their free time they might visit hot springs, temples and shrines. Short trip to main city in Nara will be organised.

Volunteers stay at an old Japanese house next to the local host's. Volunteers cook by themselves by turn. Smoking is not allowed. The host has a cat.

The nearest airport is KIX (Osaka). To the meeting point, it will take about 2 hours by train. Volunteers need to arrive at the airport by 10:00 on 1st day and can leave there after 19:00 on the last day.

Nishiwaga is a rural town surrounded by beautiful nature such as forests and lake. On the other side, it faces serious aging society and depopulation, and over 45% of villagers are 65 years or older. More and more farmers have retired, and many farmers suffer from a shortage of successors. OAUN has tried to revive deserted cultivated lands, organized some projects for interaction between urban and rural areas to activate the community. In 2017, the project for biotope development newly started to promote sustainable organic farming. From few years ago, OAUN started to accept some company group through NICE. The company choose this project site, because of hospitality of OAUN. They have
really warm heart and welcome to volunteers.
This project is actively working for SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with Ono Agriculture Union in Nishiwaga (OAUN), since 2014.

Volunteers will mainly work on 1) Renovation of the vacant house and 2) Support and interaction at facilities for people with disabilities, 3) Communicating with primary and high schools in the town,
4) meeting to show respect for the aged.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Kyodo Gakusha since 1998, a cooperative community where people with various
backgrounds such as mentally disadvantaged, people who are tired of city life, who wants to learn farming, just want to live in the nature, etc. They have 5 communities in Tokyo, Nagano and Hokkaido and grow animals and vegetables in ecological, organic way with utilizing bacterium and charcoal.
Shintoku farm has 60 ha of land and 60 inhabitants including kids. Their cheese got the 1st prize in the global contest! The workcamp has been stopped since 2020 and revived this time!
*Outcome of this workcamp: The workcamps have greatly shared the spirit of the community and also do some that is hardly done by their daily work such as construction of sheep farm, irrigation ditch, etc. In 2024, 4 vols. from 3 countries helped to harvest the vegetables, run the cafe, etc. and had a wonderful exchange in the school visit. This project is actively working for SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with "Kamimamakuchi village" since 2013, and they tried starting new project with volunteer. Depopulation (especially of youth) is a serious problem here similarly in many other country sides. This village have only 20 families and very few young people. It is difficult to keep traditional culture and community work, so we aim to help keeping this landscape/cultures and telling local village’s attraction by young power!

Volunteers will engage in three primary tasks to support Kaminamakuchi Village: painting artistic designs on mountain-side fences, assisting with rice harvesting, and helping organize community events alongside local residents. This project is actively working for SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with NPO WHITE CANVAS since 2024, a Non Profit Organization to empower mentally challenged people
through the power of art. It was established by Kyoko who was a very active members of NICE with a lot of workcamp experiences in Togo, etc. and the company who had been working with her. Then more members joined when the workshop was about to open. They organize the workshop "TIME WARP" that is a workplace for adults with special needs for weaving, pottery, small garden and embroidery work. They all love art and craft, having big interests on humans. They don't stick in specific philosophies, but anthroposophy is one of their guides. They work and study together with a certified anthroposophical doctor, nurse, curative pedagogists and Extra Lesson practitioners.
*Outcome of this workcamp: In 2024, 6 vols. from 4 countries gathered for the first short term international workcamp and greatly contributed to cut the glasses, friendly exchange with the
challenged people and assist the activities/ events!

1) Prepare, assist and finalize the daily work of the members for their weaving, pottery,
drawing, etc. including making things in the atelier (e.g., dyeing plants and trees, setting up weaving machines, etc.),
2) Support for the art event conducted by mentally challenged adults together with community members and artists (Event is scheduled to be held in various locations to produce large
paintings in a field using soil as paint under the guidance of a picture book artist.),

Volunteers will sleep in the tatami (Japanese traditional carpet) rooms of a separate house near the office of the host organisation White Canvas. Meals will be cooked by volunteer her/himself (lunch will be often prepared with the host). There is a shower room, a kitchen and wifi. Bicycle can be available.
The project is located in Azumino-city, Nagano pref.; foothills of the Northern Alps of Japan. 189 km north west from Tokyo, 150km north east from Nagoya. It is famous for beautiful nature as well as the fresh, tasty fruits especially, apples! There are no shops nearby.
