International Goodsurfing This project is actively working on SDG2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG4 (Quality Education), and has been working with Ozuchi Village since 2013. Ozuchi Village was established by local people to preserve the original landscape. In 1916, there were 140 residents and 20 houses, but now only one person lives there. Fortunately, 10 houses remain and the village is designated as a national important traditional buildings preservation district. The village retains the landscape and lifestyle of old Japan that is no longer in existence. In order to preserve this place and culture, we are trying to improve the situation with the power of young volunteers. Since 2016, Ozuchi Village and NICE have started a monthly weekend work camp, and more than 300 volunteers visit the village every year, fall in love with the village, and participate as repeat visitors or support the village in whatever way they can! The local hosts hope to pass this village on to the next generation!*Results of this work camp: The village was abandoned, but one of the former villagers maintained the rice terraces and landscape. However, the work camp gave him such strength that he started living there again in 2018!

We will engage in diverse tasks to revitalize the area and preserve its cultural heritage. The primary work includes:
- Sustainable Farming: Maintaining and harvesting rice fields and vegetable gardens to support local self-sufficiency.

- Additional tasks may involve infrastructure upkeep, documentation of traditions, or organizing community events—all aimed at rejuvenating abandoned villages.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Kyodo Gakusha since 1998, a cooperative community where people with various
backgrounds such as mentally disadvantaged, people who are tired of city life, who wants to learn farming, just want to live in the nature, etc. They have 5 communities in Tokyo, Nagano and Hokkaido and grow animals and vegetables in ecological, organic way with utilizing bacterium and charcoal.
Shintoku farm has 60 ha of land and 60 inhabitants including kids. Their cheese got the 1st prize in the global contest! The workcamp has been stopped since 2020 and revived this time!
*Outcome of this workcamp: The workcamps have greatly shared the spirit of the community and also do some that is hardly done by their daily work such as construction of sheep farm, irrigation ditch, etc. In 2024, 4 vols. from 3 countries helped to harvest the vegetables, run the cafe, etc. and had a wonderful exchange in the school visit. Nishiwaga is a rural town surrounded by beautiful nature such as forests and lake. On the other side, it faces serious aging society and depopulation, and over 45% of villagers are 65 years or older. More and more farmers have retired, and many farmers suffer from a shortage of successors. OAUN has tried to revive deserted cultivated lands, organized some projects for interaction between urban and rural areas to activate the community. In 2017, the project for biotope development newly started to promote sustainable organic farming. From few years ago, OAUN started to accept some company group through NICE. The company choose this project site, because of hospitality of OAUN. They have
really warm heart and welcome to volunteers.
This project is actively working for SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with Ono Agriculture Union in Nishiwaga (OAUN), since 2014.

The countless species of plants and animals, as well as different habitats, are unique on our planet; in Germany alone there are around 70,000 different animals, plants and microorganisms. This biodiversity forms the basis of all life, but nature is increasingly under threat. This camp is about the protection of meadow birds, some of which are threatened with extinction. You will work thematically, practically and creatively with experienced staff
from various biological stations to protect them.
First week volunteers will spend close to the Dutch border.
What to bring: • Rain jacket and rain trousers (mostly you have this for bike riding)
• Working clothes: that cover arms and legs (could get dirty and is robust)
• Working shoes: sturdy, closed and rainproof shoes (no sneakers, trainers, sandals, Flip-flops etc...)
• Rubber boots if possible!
• Warm clothes (even in summer the evenings in Germany can be quite cold)
• Waterproof clothing
• Slippers or socks, house shoes you need them for the accommodation!!
• Light, sporty clothing
This workcamp offers you the opportunity to get to know two different regions. In the first week, you will be right on the Dutch border. Here you live in a very rural area, the nearest town is 10 km away. However, you will be provided with bicycles, which will take you on a discovery tour of the Netherlands in the direction of Winterwiek on Wednesday of the first week. You get to know a typical Dutch community with a weekly market and Kramermarkt
and head to the Meddosee beach club. In the beautiful half-timbered town of Rheda-Wiedenbrück, you are accommodated in the center of Wiedenbrück with stores, cafes and bars. The outdoor pool is nearby, and you can barbecue, chill out, play table tennis or go on excursions to the university towns of Münster, Bielefeld or Paderborn.

You will work with experienced staff from various biological stations. We start right on the Dutch border. You will be there working and learning a lot about their work at the Biological Station and about the protection of meadow birds. You will help in a protected area and remove shrubs and birch so that the area is free for meadow birds again. You will cycle the 4 km to the reserve. Day 2 offers a circular walk and you get to know different birds and learn to identify them. Afterwards, the 2 days serve as a practical and creative day for a sustainable meadow bird conservation project. Then, you move on to the next project area. In the second project, your work is primarily practical. You will help to optimize the breeding sites of endangered meadow birds, which are mainly located near bodies of water. So you'll head off into shallow water and onto small gravel islands in your rubber boots to pull out willow seedlings and create gathering and resting places for animals.

In this camp you are in two different places! Also important for your arrival and departure.
The first week you will be accommodated in the brand new guest house of Biologische Zwillbrock e.V.. There are shared rooms, plenty of bathrooms and a self-catering kitchen with a dining area. There is also a terrace and the opportunity to barbecue. On Saturday, you will then move to the beautiful half-timbered town of Rheda-Wiedenbrück. There you will be accommodated in the guest house of the Wiedenbrück monastery. In shared rooms and with your own kitchen and sufficient sanitary facilities, you can also sit in the courtyard.
You are right in the center of Wiedenbrück.
It is absolutely necessary that you can ride a bike. In the first week you live in a very rural area and there is no other transport!

Каждый год ребята, которые проходят лечение в Центре, с нетерпением ожидают традиционных летних встреч с волонтерами. Участники лагерей со всего мира привозят с собой множество творческих идей, вдохновения, тепла и любви и превращают эти несколько недель в настоящий праздник. Это помогает ребятам почувствовать, что их любят и ценят, и по-новому взглянуть на свои таланты и возможности.
Во время лагеря вы сможете посетить исторические памятники, музеи и другие интересные места, включая Эчмиадзинский кафедральный собор, руины храма Звартноц, античный храм Гарни, монастырский комплекс Гегард (объект ЮНЕСКО), озеро Севан, Матенадаран – Музей-институт древних рукописей, Национальный исторический музей Армении, дом-музей известного кинорежиссера Сергея Параджанова, Вернисаж – большой армянский рынок сувениров под открытым небом.
Лагерь проводится организацией, которая существует более 60 лет и создает программы, помогающие молодежи приобрести новые навыки и попробовать себя в разных сферах: это и трудовые лагеря, и курсы обучения, и различные проекты для национальных и иностранных волонтеров.

На нашем проекте волонтеры помогают с организацией досуга для детей с ограниченными возможностями, которые проходят лечение в реабилитационном центре, а также помогают с поддержанием чистоты и порядка на территории кампуса.
В первой половине дня волонтеры будут выполнять небольшие задания по благоустройству территории (например, прополоть и убрать траву с детских игровых площадок, подкрасить здания и др.). Когда у детей заканчиваются ежедневые процедуры, волонтеры организовывают для ребят творческие задания: рисуют, лепят из пластилина, поют и танцуют, проводят тренировки, вместе играют в игры. В конце лагеря волонтеры и дети традиционно устраивают заключительный концерт.
Условия
Трансфер из аэропорта для волонтеров организуют местные участники волонтерской смены (с 08:00 до 24:00). Если вы приезжаете после 24:00, вы сможете доехать до Центра на автобусе или такси.
Волонтеры будут проживать в отдельном коттедже на территории комплекса. Участники лагеря самостоятельно готовят еду по очереди, а продукты предоставляют организаторы. Это отличная возможность попробовать рецепты из разных стран мира и самому приготовить что-то любимое и вкусное.
По окончании проекта волонтеры получат благодарственные письма от организаторов.
Есть взнос на участие: 10000 рублей в России перед отправкой и 100 евро - в Армении , по прибытии.
Будет очень много поездок, развлечений и культурной программы! Все это входит во взнос.
Свет надежды (HOPESHINE), Ереван

Проект HOPESHINE проходит в школе №14 в Ереване, в единственной школе Армении для детей с нарушением зрения, где используется система Брайля. Многие ученики живут в школе круглый год, возвращаясь домой только на каникулы.
Проект направлен на улучшение условий обучения и социализацию детей с нарушениями зрения, а также на создание комфортной среды для их развития.
Международные волонтерские смены проходят тут регулярно - уже 11 сезонов - и воспитанники уже с нетерпением ждут новых участников проекта.
Основные задачи волонтеров:
Ремонтные работы: покраска, благоустройство классов и территории школы.
Работа с детьми: организация интерактивных игр и мероприятий во второй половине дня.
Условия для волонтеров:
Проживание: в школьных общежитиях с предоставлением кроватей, матрасов и постельного белья.
Язык общения: английский.

Волонтер должен быть готов помочь с ремонтными работами, например, с покраской и благоустройством территории, а также поучаствовать или провести самому интерактивные мероприятия для детей. Основные задачи включают помощь в ремонте классов и игровую деятельность с учениками школы. У волонтеров будет куратор работ и тимлидер в группе, они подскажут, как и что можно организовать. Волонтеры не останутся одни.
Желательно, чтобы участники группы привезли с собой музыку, рецепты, игры из своих родных стран и регионов.

Проживание организовано в школьных общежитиях с предоставлением кроватей и постельного белья.
Есть оргвзносы для участия в проекте: 10 000 рублей до отъезда (в России) и 100 евро после прибытия (в Армении).
Для подростков от 15 до 17 лет взнос на участие составит 200 евро (+10 тыс руб.)
Волонтерам предоставляется проживание и питание, а также разнообразная культурная программа, за которую не надо доплачивать. Дорожные расходы до места проведения проекта также несет сам волонтер.

The goal of the project is revival of the abandon villages. Bring some info aboutyour cultures and countries! Volunteers get knowledge about actions for developing local village.

На территорию археологического комплекса Звартноц VII века требуются волонтеры для ухода за территорией. Это уникальный шанс погрузиться в историю и культуру, побывать в знаковых местах Армении и приобщиться к сохранению памятника, внесенного в список Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО.
Звартноц был построен в середине VII века и является памятником, воплощающим многовековые традиции армянской архитектуры. К сожалению, Звартноц был полностью разрушен мощным землетрясением в X веке и сохранился только как руины.
Ворккэмп в Звартноце проводился уже 15 раз и хорошо себя зарекомендовал среди участников.
Проект направлен на популяризацию идеи о необходимости защиты и сохранения объектов культурного и природного наследия.
Волонтерам предоставляется питание, проживание, культурная программа. Россиянам виза не требуется.

Основная работа волонтера - это уход за состоянием территории, например, удаление переросшей травы и сорняков, мелкий ремонт и уборка. Вы также сможете приобщиться к культуре Армении и поучаствовать в мастер-классах по традиционным танцам и песням.
Во время ворккэмпа волонтеры организуют межкультурные дни, когда каждый волонтер представляет свою страну, поэтому желательно привезти фотографии и буклеты с описанием страны, рецепты национальных блюд, продукты и специи, а также национальные песни. Можно привезти свои музыкальные инструменты
Кроме того, каждому волонтеру нужно будет подготовить презентацию о своей стране и объектах культурного наследия ЮНЕСКО в ней, а по окончании программы сделать презентацию о своих впечатлениях от проекта и планах на будущее.
Условия
Волонтерам для проживания предоставляется гостевой домик на территории археологического комплекса, с кроватями, душем, кухней и постельным бельем.
Приготовление пищи осуществляется самостоятельно по графику дежурства. Продукты предоставляются. В интернациональной группе каждый может предложить свой рецепт и приготовить любимое блюдо.
В свободное время возможно бесплатное посещение экскурсий от организатора по значимым местам Армении: Кафедральный собор Эчмиадзина, языческий храм Гарни, монастырский комплекс Гегард, озеро Севан (с барбекю на пляже) и т.д.
По окончании программы выдается сертификат участника.
Волонтеры организатора обеспечат встречу в аэропорту, если время прибытия между 8:00 и 24:00.
Zoomer Camp

Each year, the zoo organizes the famous summer camp, a space designed for children who, over the course of three weeks, participate in fun and recreational activities with the support of trained instructors. These activities not only spark curiosity but also foster empathy and love for animals and the planet. In a safe environment surrounded by greenery and a variety of species, children have fun while gaining valuable knowledge about the reality of animals and the impact we can have on their
protection.
The project's goal is for volunteers to support facilitators and coordinators in the activities of the summer camp, actively engaging with the children in its dynamics. Through this experience, both volunteers and children will have fun and learn together, promoting values such as empathy, respect for nature, and environmental stewardship.
Conditions to participate in our Workcamps:
1. To be older than 18 years.
2. To be able to communicate in English (English is the official language of all our projects)
3. To speak Spanish is recommended.
4. To participate for the whole duration of the project.
5. The start date of the project is the welcome day, and the last day is the departure day of the project.
6. The extra fee must be given to the project leader/camp coordinator in Mexican pesos on arrival to the project.
7. In the case of projects that have extra fee, the exchange rate will be informed to your volunteers by our incoming officer prior to the arrival to the camps.
8. Usually, volunteers will work five days per week followed by two days off, so they can use their leisure time to explore the area and enjoy the different activities that the places where they will stay have to offer, please do note that these conditions may vary according to the local conditions and needs of each camp

The main goal is to raise awareness among visitors about the importance of caring for the environment, biodiversity, and the preservation of flora and, especially, fauna. This is achieved through various activities carried out throughout the year.

This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDGs 15 (Life on Land), organized together with Tabito Satoyama Restoration Committee (TSRC), since 2022. Tabito-cho is an area of Iwaki City with an ageing population, but at the same time it still retains its traditional satoyama landscape.
Former NICE (host organisation) staff colleague and her husband who took up as Local Vitalization Cooperator (organized by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) in 2019, was fascinated by Tabito area and wanted to pass on the local satoyama nature and culture to the next generation. The TSRC was set up with the involvement of local people. The couple's vision of a 'Tabito Workcamp Village' to enliven the depopulated and ageing town with a workcamp movement was launched. From 2022, TSRC accepted very short-term workcamp in spring, short-term workcamp in summer and medium- to longterm volunteers were organized, and accepted a university group.

Iwaki city is located in the southern part of Hamadori (near seashore), Fukushima prefecture. It is the second most populous city in the Tohoku region. Tabito Village was merged with Iwaki City in 1966.
The Tabito area is located in the southern part of the city and is steep, mountainous and undulating throughout.
Volunteers will get knowledge about revitalization of the region, life in rural villages.
