Placement comes at a minimum charge; volunteers will be living with our host family in Accra. However, volunteers pay $70 per month to support utility bills and other facilities volunteers will use at the host family's residence.
Volunteers will be picked up from the airport to the placement area for free. On your arrival, Shadrach will pick you up from the airport.
Accommodation, food, and security is free as it is captured in the placement charge.
The host family's residence is mostly a walking distance from the Mayflower Beacon School Complex. Location farther from the School will attract transport cost but you will know more during induction.

What to pack?
Casual clothes mostly. If you are a sports enthusiast you'll need to come along with your sports apparel.
Don't hesitate to phone in for further inquiries on things to bring and not to bring. There is also the possibility of making purchases here in Ghana hence don't overpack.

Pathshaala : - Quality education for Slum children
The project "Pathshaala . . . back to school" is being managed by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan to provide quality education to poor deprived students. In addition to quality education, poor deprived children are being taught basic learning of discipline, cleanliness, English under the project.
Objective: -
To increase enrolment of students in the school
To initiate the community to advocate for the poor girls to have access to education
To increase the access of poor girls to education
To change the life condition of poor girls and boys through education
To empower their families economically
Activities: -
To provide quality education to deprived children.
To motivate children and parents for getting registered in schools
To make children learnt about cleanliness and discipline.
To teach deprived children basic learnings of English.
To select school drop-out weak children for the getting education in "Pathshaala".
To organise entertainment and game activities.
To provide study material for deprived children.
To make children understand about the importance of education for a better job
Achievements:
Quality education has been provided to more than 500 poor children approximately.
225 children were registered in schools.
Parents are becoming alert and vigilant by education.
The children have got confidence increased.
Other children are also getting inspired and taking admission in schools.
Un-educations is getting reduced gradually.
A positive environment of education is creating in the remote villages and slums which got benefitted from "Pathshaala".
Deprived children are also getting right to education.

Условия
The following Budget of 300$ is for 5 days.
It will be 60$ per day in which 35$ would be for the bed room, 15$ will be for travelling and 10$ would be for the meal of the day.

-Women's empowerment program
Unfortunately, many women in slums in New Delhi finds themself in horrible situations like not being able to care for their children after their husbands death etc. Sonu gives these women opportunities to support themselves and their children through self-sustainable enterprises. Teaching the women different skills such as sewing, candle-making and running their own businesses is just a small step towards giving these women more freedom and confidence. -Thriveseed Responsible Tourism
This project, launched in 2017, enables former Thriveseed pupils to earn money by working as tour organisers. This not only provides former Thriveseed students with an income that they would not have otherwise had, but it also encourages current Thriveseed students to pursue their education to a high level so that they develop the maths, English and Hindi writing skills necessary to carry out this type of work. We accept all kind of help and are happy to share any of your gifts with our students. Of course, we do need assistance in our english, math and hindi classes, but you could also help out with teaching the women in the women's empowerment program handcraft that you know, make food in our community kitchen etc. We also love to teach the children new kind of games that you might know from your home country. You could also help with taking pictures and posting about our project on social media -Imagination is the only limit when it comes to helping out with our project.

When volunteering with us, you pay a one time registration fee of 15 USD. This goes directly to keeping our project running.
If you are choosing to stay with one of our host families, the price for accommodation and food is 120 USD each week. You are also free to stay other places, and will then not pay any fee other than the one time fee of 15 USD.

Какая нужна помощь?
• Строительство комфортной зоны питания для гостей, подготовка пространства для построек, обустройство сопутствующих проектов (погреб, печь, уличный камин и т.д.), хозяйственные и сантехнические работы (для мужчин);
• Ландшафтный дизайн, постоянно облагораживаем территорию - веранда для встреч, уличная мебель из подручного материала, грядки и клумбы, интересные цветочные композиции, икебаны, газоны;
• Столярные работы, изготовление подделок, а также книжных полок, качелей, скамеек, ограды из натуральных местных лиственных пород (рододедрона, азалии, орешника), резьба по дереву, изготовление садовой мебели из бамбука и т.д.;
• мастера художественной ковки которые могли бы помочь с изготовлением кованной садовой мебели и ограждений;
• Посадка деревьев, культивирование плодовых растений, сбор урожая, подготовка дров, заготовка сушенных цветочных букетов и композиций для украшения номеров гостевого дома, сбор травяных чаев в альпийских лугах, варим варенья и компоты, делаем пастилу, сушим фрукты;
• Помощь в уборке номеров, требуются горничные, прием и размещение гостей;
• Также будем рады маркетологам, SMM-специалистам, профессиональным фотографам и специалистам по аэро-видеосъемкам с квадрокоптеров - нам есть, что показать.
Ваша помощь нам нужна 5 дней в неделю, 6-7 часов в день.

С момента своего создания в 1995 году ассоциация "Le Fagotin" постепенно развивала свою деятельность, пока не стала крупным образовательным и туристическим актором в бельгийских Арденнах. Сегодня ассоциация состоит из «Центра природы», «Анимационной фермы» и «Центра для встреч и проживания». Ценности ассоциации сосредоточены вокруг четырех ключевых понятий: гражданство, устойчивость, солидарность, доброжелательность.
Как летом, так и зимой команда "Le Fagotin", состоящая из опытных аниматоров, предлагает лагеря, экскурсии с гидом и без, мастер-классы, прогулки, тренинги, встречи и т.д., чтобы познакомить всех, особенно молодежь, с чудесами природного наследия Валлонии. Обычно (вне периода COVID) команда состоит из 16 сотрудников, которые ежегодно принимают более 10 000 человек.
Сама ассоциация, и соответственно проект, находится в Стумоне (Бельгия). Это тихая деревня, окруженная лесами. Каждый год около пятнадцати волонтеров приезжают в Стумон и помогают на ферме.

Задачи волонтеров будут варьироваться в зависимости от потребностей фермы. Волонтеры могут помогать как с физической работой, так и с выполнением социальных задач. Они также будут участвовать в повседневных делах фермы (готовка, мытье посуды, прием групп и т.д.).
Физическая работа на ферме состоит из множества различных задач: уход за зелеными насаждениями (стрижка, обрезка, работа на огороде), сезонные строительные работы (ремонт заборов, хозяйственных построек, покраска и др. мелкий внутренний и уличный ремонт).
Социальные задачи включают помощь команде в организации мероприятий. Некоторые мероприятия предназначены для детей и подростков, другие - более туристические (прогулки на ослах, пикники и походы и т. д.).
Условия
Проживание: волонтеры могут ночевать либо в палатке (душ и туалет имеется) либо в жилом здании. Величина взноса будет варьироваться в зависимости от выбранного варианта проживания.
Питание: волонтеры должны будут покупать и готовить еду самостоятельно; им будет обеспечен доступ к кухне.
Во взнос включено:
- визовая поддержка;
- ознакомительная встреча, 1 ночевка и питание в Лувен-ля-Нёв;
- организационная поддержка на протяжении всего проекта;
- билеты на поезд из Лувен-ля-Нёв до места проекта
- проживание.
По желанию могут быть предоставлены:
- дополнительный месяц на проекте: 217€;
- онлайн курс французского языка из 10 уроков каждый продолжительностью 1 час: 180€;
- трансфер из аэропорта и обратно (такси): 160€.
Волонтерам рекомендуется прибыть на проект с понедельника по пятницу с 11 до 16 часов.
Волонтер дополнительно самостоятельно несет расходы на дорогу, визу, питание, и страховку.
