The cave of Han are one of the most famous caves in Europe. It is exceptional in terms of beauty and the immensity of its chambers and fashioned by the river Lesse that flows through it from one side to the other. It has welcomed more than 20 million visitors for over 250 years.

The volunteer will be hosted in a volunteering house.
He will share a 4 or 6 bedrooms with facilities. Sheets and washing machine are provided. WiFi is available. Lunch is provided but the volunteer is responsible for his breakfast and dinner (5/10€/day). The volunteers do the food shopping together.

Renaissance ASBL is a residential center hosting 18 adults who were born with physical disabilities (cerebral palsy). The center aims at giving those people an adapted living place. Renaissance is a residential center in which each occupant has to take part in the daily tasks according to their abilities. These tasks are supervised by various specialized people: educators, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, a caseworker and physiotherapists, a multidisciplinary team in which each person accompanies the resident individually within the group. The center highlights the importance of cultural exchange, openness and encounters.

The volunteers will not be in charge of medical care (washing the residents, putting them to bed, waking them up, etc.). A meeting will take place on a monthly basis to report on the volunteer’s stay.
The volunteers are allowed to meet their tutor or the director of the center whenever they want. They will never have to stay alone with the residents and will be given safety instructions by a prevention adviser.

During the project, the volunteer will take part in the community life of the residential center under the supervision of staff members. They will share meals with the residents, among other things:
■ Life at the center: cooking, food stocks control, laundry, cleaning activities etc.
■ Leisure and creative activities: theater, well-being, painting, expression, comics.
■ Activities organized out of the center: shopping, cultural excursions, sports, etc.
■ Special events: Ren & Music (music festival), Ren & Bike (adapted bicycles), Ren’ART (painting exhibition), Christmas market.

Условия

Three meals a day will be provided to the volunteers.
They will eat with the residents on the ground floor of the center or on the first floor (where they will be housed). Every month, a general allowance and a food allowance are given to each volunteer working
in the day center.

The House for Volunteers (HfV) hosts the volunteers engaged in short or long term volunteering projects with other associations or local structures partners of PSI in the region of Occitanie. The HfV, social residence for volunteers, (Civic Services, EVS, VSI, etc.) will have rooms and apartments to cater for their needs.

During this project, you will have the opportunity to take part in a number of activities. Every volunteer will participate in each activity according to a rotating system. So you will be able to engage in all the association’s “services” for a week. At the end
of your observation and after a short discussion with your supervisor, the team members and the other volunteers, you will choose the activity of your choice.

Every volunteer can find a field that will really interest him/her. We are aware that sometimes the project’s description and the reality can be approached differently depending on each individual. This is why we hope that all volunteers will be able to observe and take part to the activities and areas represented in
the association for a few days.

Therefore, communication is essential. We want volunteers to fully engage in this experience and come out of it with a fulfilled purpose and the feeling of having contributed to a project they wanted to achieve. After these few days of observation, an individual and then collective meeting will be organised to analyse the different objectives and implement them while respecting each other’s objectives. This way, a volunteer will be able to choose to participate more in one activity than another while not neglecting other services.

The different services are the following:
■ The entertainment hub dedicated to various workshops, digital space and citizen cafés.
■ About the grocery shop, the volunteer will be able to participate in the products collection (only for the grocery shop beneficiaries), restocking the shelves, grocery check-out and greeting the beneficiaries. It is important to help them in the shop as the social relations built are part of the association’s priorities.
■ You can also take part in the administrative work, accounting and stock management, if you want to!
■ You may also participate in the association’s “communication” department, which is responsible for promoting and enhancing the association’s services and objectives.

You will be housed in an apartment in the Moulin à Vent district of Perpignan. The apartment has three bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, two toilets and a washing machine. A WiFi connection is also available
via a 4G key that offers 50GB of internet per month.
The apartment is located a stone’s throw from the University of Perpignan and is close to a supermarket, the post office, a bakery, the Sports Park and the municipal swimming pool.

For morning and evening meals, you will have a kitchen to share with the other volunteers in the host house. You will therefore be completely autonomous.
For lunch, meals will be served in the grocery shop where a kitchen is available for everyone. You will be able to prepare your meals with certain grocery products made available with other volunteers. You
can bring your own lunch if you wish. The grocery shop has products for all diets. Meals can be shared with team members and volunteers.

A major urban renewal plan launched some fifteen years ago has made this district more attractive and public services are well
present. Today the district is inhabited by a population mainly from immigration and its unemployment rate is higher than in other districts of the city. Many cultural and sports facilities are present and cultural and sports associations are very active among the
inhabitants.
Next door is Begon House, a social and cultural centre which has just been completely renovated. The Maison de Begon organises concerts and other events throughout the year and at the beginning of the summer, we are partners in a large popular festival which attracts a large part of the local population. For our part, we manage the citizens’ council of the city of Blois, composed of inhabitants and active forces of the district. This body works alongside the city services and the state to improve living conditions in the district and works daily to live better together.

Elaboration once a month in a multidisciplinary team of the program of activities and animations which will be proposed in the evening, at lunchtime or during the weekend.
Communication and diffusion of the program at the beginning of each week: Flyer, posters, social networks...
Preparation and implementation of the activities.
Presence at the reception to welcome the public and inform them about the activities and events.
The young volunteers will mainly be attached to missions of reception of the public in transversality with the tourist service and the young people’s housing service. More particularly with young residents, they
will have to build on the assets and strengths of young people and develop their potential.

We offer accommodation in our young people’s residence.

Volunteers will have three meals a day which are provided by our catering team. These meals are made every day with fresh, seasonal and mainly local products.

In most cases we work with government institutions and very few private institution, we plant tree of different species depending whether conditions, soil and other factors.
Tree nursery located in Longido and Tengeru are the main source of trees planted in different locations.
The best time for this program is morning hours and evening hours.
 
Grass cutting
Volunteers cut grass in public locations and government institutions such as hospitals and other government offices.
We normally use slashers for this activity.
 
Generally cleanliness
Volunteers get involves collecting plastic waste,and other type of non hazardous waste around public locations.

Мы живём на благоустроенной территории среди леса и гор. У нас есть озеро с рыбками, пара гостевых домиков и баня (сауна) на дровах. По всей территории бегают около пятидесяти декоративных кроликов, живущих свободной вольной жизнью и четыре добрые сторожевые собачки.
Живём мы здесь вдвоём и нам необходима помощь в быту и по хозяйству: заготовка и рубка дров, уборка опавшей листвы, прорубка поросли, растопка печей, поддержание порядка и чистоты на территории, кормление собачек. Взамен мы предоставим койко-место в новом деревянном домике, вкусное и полезное вегетарианское питание (предоставим сами продукты, а приготовить их нужно будет самостоятельно, либо выбирать ежедневно ответственного по кухне); у нас есть замечательная баня на дровах, где можно париться и купаться в душе. Досуг тоже разнообразен: неподалёку живописное ущелье с водопадами - это несколько часов лёгкого маршрута с морем впечатлений (кстати море от нас в 30 минутах езды); 20 минут в гору и перед вами открываются виды на местный рельеф - впечатляет!
Мы приверженцы ЗОЖ и любители чаепитий, вас ждёт вечерний chill с вкуснейшими чаями у костра с космической музыкой. Научим вас играть на варгане и барабане, плести ловцы снов.

Volunteers work at three centers in Da Nang – the Social Support Center, the Red Cross Children Home and the Rehabilitation and Education Center for Children with disabilities. This is the primary placement for our volunteers, although it encompasses a wide array of activities at multiple locations. The assignments volunteers rotate between while working with this program include:
· Child care
· Educational activities for children with special needs
· Physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy
· Field trips with the seniors
· General improvement projects
· Sports & enrichment activities
The Social Support Center in Da Nang is where the bulk of our program activities occur. This government-run facility is home to 200 residents who are either elderly or physically or mentally disabled. Volunteers are able to participate in a variety of tasks and quickly become familiar with many of the residents. The programs volunteers assist with are:
- Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy
- Educational Activities for Children with Disabilities
- Sports Training & Field Trips
The Red Cross Children’s Home is another government-run facility that Volunteer Vietnam partners with to provide supplementary services. At the home there are three groups of children: infants, toddlers, and children with disabilities. Volunteers assist with feeding and diaper changing for the infants, and playing games and reading books with the older kids. There are several children with disabilities, some who are bed-ridden and others who are not. These kids are mostly non-verbal, however they do manage to communicate their preferences quite clearly to attentive volunteers. Afternoons at the Home are really rewarding for volunteers and children alike!
The Rehabilitation and Education Center for Children with Disabilities: The center has around 300 children with physical and mental disabilities. Volunteers assist with our staff and the social workers to conduct activities in education and mental therapy for the children. This includes games for group and sport activities.
You will work in a team with our local staff and volunteers to carry out the above activities. On your arrival, our team will give you a few days of orientation and training. They will plan activities and lessons together with you and accompany you to the placement sites. Some of our staff live in the volunteer house and will help you to enter into the program as smoothly as possible.

A TYPICAL DAY
Morning session starts at around 8:00 AM: Volunteers assist our staff and social workers at the Social Support Center to give physiotherapy, occupational therapy, education for special needs to the disabled children and patients
Lunch time: You come back to the volunteer house to have lunch with other volunteers and have a little nap 
Afternoon session starts at around 1:30 PM; Volunteers assist our staff and social workers at the Red Cross Children Home and the Rehabilitation and Education Center to give childcare and activities for disabled children
Evening session: most evenings are free for volunteers to relax or go out to explore the city. Some evenings, volunteers may have a meeting with our staff to plan lessons or activities
Some mornings or afternoons: Volunteers assist our staff and social workers by taking the children and patients on outing trips such as playing soccer in a soccer field, swimming in a pool, taking the old people to a temple for praying

We are a non-profit organization (NPO). We do not receive any funding from the government or donors to run our programs. We solely rely on volunteer placement fees to operate. By paying our fees, volunteers will help us to carry out our mission in helping the people of Vietnam. Their fees are for:
Volunteer house/ meals/ transportation to and from work during their stay
Support staff team (24/7) to give pre-departure information/support/ pick up and training on arrival and accompany them to the placement sites to carry out activities
Donations for needed materials and supplies for the centers and schools we support
Language and cultural activities and local sightseeing for you during your stay
Emergency support for medical health and safety
In general, the fees will cover most of daily needs when volunteers stay and work for us. They only need to budget for their personal expenses, weekend meals and travels to explore the country.

Средневековый город Сваргас - Столица Варяжских земель это Историко - этнографический музей под открытым небом, воссозданный в натуральную величину, как крепость балтийских славян – венедов периода раннего средневековья VIII - XII в.в., в период зарождения Российской государственности. "Сваргас" — индоевропейское слово, переводится как «Солнечное небо». (Местоположение: широта/долгота: 60*49'40.74'' C/28*50'13.69)
Основное направление - экспериментальная деятельность, включая исследования, направленные на воссоздание социальных отношений, быта, ремесел в условиях раннего средневековья, периода военной демократии, а также изучение общих исторических, археологических вопросов "эпохи викингов" (VIII—XII в.в.), которое осуществляется в рамках Международной организации EXARC (объединение наиболее известных музеев, располагающихся на открытом воздухе и археологических парков, занимающихся экспериментальной археологией в 40 странах мира).
Особенность Сваргаса заключается том, что весь комплекс сооружений средневекового города непрерывно эволюционирует, подстраиваясь под расширяющиеся требования жителей города на основе исторических изысканий. В этой связи Сваргас – не застывшая картина, а настоящая неспешная жизнь города раннего средневековья. В конце рабочего дня жители Сваргаса будут проводить для волонтеров познавательные лекции по истории, мастерклассы в кузнице от главного кузнеца нашего Города, вы узнаете как пряли пряжу, увидите как изготавливали ткани наши предки, научитесь стрелять из лука и метать топоры, увидите как жили люди в 9 веке.

Вас ждут работы по подготовке Города к зиме. Мы будем заготавливать дрова, заниматься каменной кладкой, утеплять постройки, обрабатывать краской деревянные перекрытия и т.д. В конце каждого трудового дня вас ждет увлекательное путешествие в прошлое от жителей Сваргаса.

Условия

Волонтеров ждет полноценное трехразовое питание от нашего повара. На территории Города есть возможность размещения в спартанских условиях, но под крышей, в ваших руках будет задача по улучшению жилища и повышению уровня комфорта) Так же у нас есть потрясающая территория на берегу озера, там можно поставить собственную палатку.
