Старинная деревня Рыжково когда-то была крупнейшей деревней Кенозерья. Сейчас на постоянной основе здесь живут всего два человека, но летом деревня оживает благодаря многочисленным отпускникам и школьникам. Уроженцы Рыжково хотят развивать малую родину, привлекать сюда туристов и бывших жителей, переехавших в город. Для этого они решили переделать историческое, но заброшенное здание магазина в музей и общественное пространство, где всей деревней смогут отмечать праздники и просто общаться. Сами рыжковцы при поддержке Парка уже значительно обновили здание.

Вид работ

Волонтёры приглашаются, чтобы помочь местным жителям в ремонте будущего музея. Уроженцы и жители кенозерской деревни Рыжково ведут большую работу по сохранению памяти о своих земляках. По их инициативе в деревне скоро будет создан музей, для которого собираются воспоминания и фотографии.

Добровольцам предстоит редактировать, ретушировать и произвести цветокоррекцию старинных фотоматериалов.

Duties (Roles and Responsibilities):-

Social Worker Duties - Roles and Responsibilities

- Create awareness on environmental issues. Increase people's awareness about the environment and associated challenges;

- Promote conservation & sustainability;

- Explore environmental issues;

- Engage in problem solving and take action to improve the environment. Develop a deep understanding of environmental issues and have the skills to make informed and responsible decisions. Develop necessary skills and expertise to address the challenges and foster attitudes, motivations and commitments to make informed decisions and take responsible action;

- Deliver presentations in schools;
- Host groups at the site/Hub e.g school clubs study tours etc;

We use post-consumer plastic waste as a resource to manufacture eco-friendly plastic lumber. The plastic lumber is an affordable alternative to timber, which reduces the need for building material manufactured from wood, helping to preserve forests and cut down on deforestation and effects of climate change. Plastic lumber made from recycled plastics are ideal for fencing on farms, homes, national parks, forest reserves and commercial places. Our solution creates economic value on plastic at the points of generation to enable the households/farms/companies to sort and sell plastics in order to earn income. It worth noting we are creating wealth from waste and with the uprising levels of environmental degradation our solution will generate employment for individuals at the initial stages of the value chain, mostly youth and women, who collect, sort and clean plastic waste for reselling. We aim at training 50 youths on this methodology and empower 200 kids on the need to beat plastic pollution

Хостелу в центре Тбилиси требуются волонтёры на зимний период. Обязанности:

1 человек: смм (инстаграм, фб, вконтакте) — написание постов на двух языках (русский, английский) — 2-3 больших поста в неделю для фейсбука и вконтакте, 1-2 поста поменьше с фото для инстаграма + регулярные сториз. Фотографирование. Помощь в организации ивентов.

2 человек: работа в баре хостела — приготовление несложной еда, напитков, приветствуется умение продавать без грубого навязывания, так, чтобы клиент был доволен и хотел вернуться. Концепция бара — "бар на районе", так что с гостями надо общаться, уметь их слушать. Язык общения русский и английский. Помощь в организации ивентов.

3 человек: столярные навыки, помощь в ремонте (просверлить дырку, собрать кровать из досок, повесить полочку, покрасить стену и т.д).

4 человек: уборка — протереть, подмести, помыть.

5 человек: администрирование — работа с бронированиями, ведение переписки с гостями на русском и английском, поддержание хостела в "приятном" виде, координирование работы горничной. Общение с гостями.

Volunteers will be part of the local team composed
of more than 100 volunteers. They will have to be ready to work at least 5 hours every day. Tasks will be clarified continuously during the festival but volunteers will mainly work with the public: ticket control, public circulation, general information…
Volunteers might also have to do some physical work before and after the festival.

Casual clothes should be enough, but it should also
be comfortable in order to be reactive and flexible
during the rushes. You will be provided a BIFFF T-shirt.
Brussels is a rainy town so be ready for this and don’t
expect the temperature to be very hot in April. You
must remember that you will spend some times outside for different activities.
No specific material is required out of a sleeping bag.
After the work, you will be able to enjoy the films and
events. The entry will be offered as well as your meals
and your pass.

You need to write a Motivation Letter.

Accommodation
Foreign volunteers will be welcomed by local volunteers already implied in the Festival since many
years. You will be hosted in “couchsurfing” conditions
in order to facilitate the intercultural exchanges, to
create new friendships and to spread the motivation
among the participants! All the hosts will be located
in Brussels itself.
You will be welcomed by Belgian volunteers who are
participating in the festival and you will be accommodated in their homes during the whole festival period.
You need to bring a sleeping bag.
You will be in contact with your host only one week
before the beginning of the festival.

Food
The organization will give volunteers sandwiches, drink
tickets and food tickets during the festival. The equivalent of only one meal will be provided every day.
There are a lot of shops, small snacks (pizza, fries,
sandwich, Chinese…) and bars in Brussels.

The project is a community-focused initiative that aims to improve water quality, quantity and restore habitat for wild species through planting of 25000 water friendly, economic and medicinal trees. Further it will educate 100 youths in the community on sustainable forest management, tree planting and monitoring. This project has a target timeframe of 4years. More so, it focuses on restoring degraded areas within the catchment and forest. Engaging the community to actively participate in the protection of the catchment area, for water access and forest, for biodiversity and wildlife, saving animal and restoring their natural habitat is priority. This forest is a habitat for the god’s of this community thus a historical area.This forest provides clean water for over 6500 people living in the Chomba community, plants and animals.
