Ovakorusu Wild Animal Shelter is one of the few facilities in Europe. This facility houses and treats injured or disadvantaged wild animals in nature. The animals are kept in their natural habitat. There are dozens of disadvantaged animals such as bears, wolves, foxes, hawks and owls in the facility. Work with wild animals is carried out with safety precautions. Our volunteers have gained extraordinary experience in this project in the past years.

Volunteers help with the daily feeding of animals. When necessary, they participate in their treatment and vaccination processes with professionals. Environmental cleaning and organization of the facility are also done with volunteers. Volunteers also participate in repairs and painting of areas in need of repair at the facility. Work with wild animals is carried out with safety precautions.

There is a small guesthouse for volunteers in the facility. The guesthouse is for IVS volunteers only. Volunteers stay in rooms for 2-3 people. The guesthouse has a kitchen, showers, toilet and air conditioning. There is a common area where volunteers can socialize. Volunteers prepare their own meals together in the guesthouse. The 40 € of extra fee will be a generous contribution to cover food expenses and also to handle basic conditions of the accommodation place.
