Russian NGO InterAction Club creates its residence in a rural area of Central-Southern region of the European part of Russia - Voronezh region, 500 km to the south of Moscow. You can easily come here by train from Moscow or with a local train from next big city Voronezh. The project is to create a voluntary center in a village next to a natural preserve "Divnogorye". The project runs since 2012 and has already hosted several international workcamps and long-term volunteers. The project is suitable for adventurous and creative volunteers who prefer to deepen into the Russian countryside. Nature around is stepps and little forests, tiny rivers and hills. This particular experience is an opportunity to live rural life still being the center of cultural and artistic life of the region. The unique place – village Divnogorye – can be translated as Wonder Mountains. Next to the village is situated a natural preserve. It includes treasures for scientists of different areas (archeologists, ornithologists, geologists and architects). Check this website - divnogor.ru - it's the natural preserve close to the residence for volunteers. Volunteers cooperate with the natural preserve, but also make local life more colourful and diverse. Volunteer residence organises workshops, festivals and artistic events, as well as ecological actions. International volunteers can come for the minimal period of 14 days, maximal for 3 months. There is always a local coordinator, who will support volunteers in the practical issues. Working time is 5-6 hours per day, the rest is free time. On weekends volunteers will go sightseeing. Course of Russian language can be organised by demand. There is a participation fee: 150 Euro for the 1st week, 80 euro for each next week. It includes meals, administrative and visa supprt, trasfers from the meeting place and local sightseeing. It DOESN'T include visa fees, travel costs and medical insurance. We invite volunteers who enjoy rural life, nature, freedom, a bit of risk and creative leisure. Here you can do gardening or handcrafts with wood, metal or plastic (recycling art). We don't have much agriculture work (our vegetable garden is small), but we have a lot of simple construction tasks. Skills of using electrical tools can be very useful, but not crusial. You can complete easy manual tasks for keeping the residence clean and accurate. Cats and dogs live with us, so you have to be ready for their presence. The atmosphere is full of music, tasty food (with meat or vegetarian - as you prefer) and friendly neighbours chats. Here, if you speak French, German, Engish or Russian, feel free to apply.

The volunteers will work 5-6 hours a day (30 working hours per week), 2 days off. Changes are possible because of weather. Working tasks: cleaning the territory from invasive herbs and bushes, cleaning rubbish, help with installation of objects. Volunteers are welcomed to take care of the garden, repair some parts of the furniture, install gates and make some outdoor and indoor decorations. We invite volunteers able to carry out physical work, carry heavy objects and able to use simple tools for gardening. There will be opportunities to implement creative ideas of volunteers who work with metal or wood or outdoor design. There will be a lot of manual work open air.

Accommodation is in a village house, 3-4 participants per room. Bedsheets are provided. Water for shower is heated by electricity, the river is 15 min walk, toilets are of the latrine type. Volunteers will cook for themselves on the gas oven. The water from the tap is clean. "Banya" (Russian type of sauna) can be organized by demand. Location & leisure Divnogorye is a small but very famous place thanks to its touristic attractions: natural preserve, chalk hills and caves, ancient monastery, a beautiful river. In the village a lot of touristic events take place, workshops and concerts. It is a famous site for archeologists and soil scientists, for zoologists, ecologists and just simply nature lovers. Additionally, excursions and day trips will be organized to natural preserve and open air museum Divnogorye, to the neighbor towns and to the city Voronezh. Volunteers can swim, go fishing, hiking and take sunbaths without any limitations!

Your volunteering is possible as a group or as an individual. Come easily with friends or as a couple. Vegetarian meals are possible. If you have allegies to cats/dogs, sunburns, insects or various herbs - it will be very difficult to you to feel comfortable here.
