To volunteer with children may include the following aims: • Provide essential support to marginalized kids • Teach impoverished children important skills such as hygiene practices • Improve their future prospects and help them to break the poverty cycle by supplying quality early childhood teaching • Expose volunteers, children and their families to different people and cultures During your volunteering journey and your program, you will contribute to this good cause in a number of ways and you can expect to undertake the following tasks: • Planning educational games • Helping daycare staff prepare meals • Playing and interacting with the children • Teaching basic classes, for example, teaching them colors, shapes, numbers It’s good to have a flexible attitude when you work, learn, and volunteer with children. A typical day looks like the following: At 9 AM TO 10 AM volunteers will have breakfast, 11 AM the volunteer program begins and ends at 1 PM. We go back to the compound and freshen up. Lunch is usually served at 1 PM TO 2 PM From 2 PM to 5 PM volunteers have free time. From 5 PM to 8 PM their volunteers spend time with kids from the local community. Dinner is served at 9 PM.
