We humbly appeal to the interested volunteer (s) to carry along the necessary equipment for performing the assignment. The volunteer (s) would be responsible for own equipment used for programme support. Altogether in an effort to inform the planned Action Research and production of a video documentary on matters.of climate change adaptation and food/nutritional security. Climate Justice remains a cross cutting issue. As a matter of principle, climate change is a global challenge affecting the entire world and humanity as a whole. Apart from that, scientists predict increasingly severe consequences of climate change for generations yet to come. The concept of climate justice addresses this unequal allocation of benefits and burdens by relating climate change to matters of social justice and human rights. We consider climate justice as an inevitable brick in building a sustainable future and creating a just and fair society. By taking active steps against climate change and demonstrating solidarity with most vulnerable population groups and peoples, we assume our responsibility in the global sustainability challenge and seek to do our part in attaining climate justice. Together with local communities, volunteers shall work on grassroots projects that combine manual work and awareness raising actions. These address issues such as: climate change, carbon offset, environmental sustainability, protection of responsibility in the global sustainability challenge and seek to do our part in attaining climate justice. We are looking for volunteers with social marketing skills, people skills and, negotiation skills. The volunteer (s) should also be passionate about community service, should be self-driven and result-oriented. Volunteers with knowledge and experience in action research, and production of documentaries are added advantage. Volunteer Activities shall entail:- (a) Participatory meetings and community dialogues providing a forum for community analysis, strengthening, communal problem solving, sharing of seeds and crops, reviving seed diversity and supply, growing, storage and preservation methods of local crops etc. (b) Produce Publications including a documentary, testimonies, articles, policy briefs on climate change adaptation and climate responsive designs

The programme targets at least 6 volunteers per year. We understand that one volunteer may not possess all the requirements thus role sharing is encouraged. While executing their duties, the volunteer (s) shall be working like in a home away from home. Altogether, we are developing an "Environmental Education Hub" Project - Where we promote climate/environment friendly solutions, a responsibility for everyone for the benefit of generations to come. Sustainability should be the idea of comfort. We work to ensure local vision especially for young people like children, and women-headed households is clear inaddition to needs.

Participation fees contributed by volunteers also partly go to execution of field programme components. Upon satisfactory work /volunteer placement, the volunteer shall also be awarded :- (a) certificate of recognition (b) T-Shirt. (c) Visibility (Name Mention) in programme publications like reports.

Persons not proficient in the English language and yet interested in kparticipating in the project, are encouraged to work in teams comprised of English speaking persons altogether towards the common good.
